Jean-Guy Wallemme was born in 1967. He is a retired French footballer and a manager.
He played for RC Lens and as a part of the team he won the French championship in 1998. Then he played for different football clubs, such as Coventry City, Sochaux, Saint-Étienne and finished his playing career in Lens.
In 2001 he started his managerial work as a player-coach in Saint-Étienne. He spent two seasons in RC Paris, and then he managed Rouen, Rinse, Roye. The season 2007/08 he returned to Paris FC and until 2011 he guided RC Lens.
In 2011 he took charge of the Republic of Congo national team. In 2012 he left for Auxerre and later on that year joined White Star Bruxelles.
