Jorge de Amorim Campos is a Brazilian football manager, retired player. He was born in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro.
He began his senior playing career at América Football Club, and then played for Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, before he moved to Germany.
In 1989, Jorginho signed for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. From 1992 to 1995 he played for FC Bayern Munich. During his spell at Bayern he won the 1993/94 Bundesliga. He appeared regularly during his first two seasons, but after the returning of Markus Babbel, he was used rarely.
In 1995, Jorginho moved to Japan and joined Kashima Antlers, where he played until 1998, after that he had a short spell at Brazilian São Paulo FC, then played for CR Vasco da Gama and Fluminense Football Club.
From 1987 to 1995 he represented the Brazil national football team, earned 64 caps and scored 3 goals. In 1988, the team won the Olympics and in 1989 they became Copa América champions. In 1994, Brazil won FIFA World Cup.
In 2006, he took over as a manager of America-RJ, shortly after that worked as an assistant coach of the Brazil national team, then had short spells at Goiás, Figueirense and in 2012 he moved to Kashima Antlers, where he used to play earlier.
In 2013 the coach had a brief spell with Flamengo.
