Jos Luhukay is a Dutch retired midfielder and current coach of Hertha BSC in the German 2. Bundesliga. He was born on 13 June 1963 in Venlo, the Netherlands.
Jos started out his professional career with his hometown side VVV-Venlo in 1988 and went on with SVV Schiedam and RKC Waalwijk. In 1993, he left for Germany where he joined a lower-league club SV Straelen. In the 1995/96 season, Luhukay made two Bundesliga appearances for KFC Uerdingen.
In 1998, Jos Luhukay embarked on his managerial career initially coaching his former club SV Straelen and then KFC Uerdingen. In between 2002 and 2005, he was either an assistant coach or caretaker at Bundesliga club FC Köln. After that he was at the helm of SC Paderborn 07, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Augsburg. In the summer 2012, Jos Luhukay took over reins at the second-division side Hertha BSC and coaches the team till the date.
