José Vítor dos Santos Peseiro was born in 1960. He is a Portuguese football manager.
After graduating from the football managing course, the same one as José Mourinho studied at; José Peseiro took charge of União de Santarém in 1992. After that he headed União de Montemor, Oriental F.C., CD Nacional and in 2003 Peseiro became an assistant coach of Real Madrid for one season.
For the season 2004/05, a Portuguese football manager headed Sporting Clube de Portugal and during his first season there the team had a difficult race for the title, finally losing to S.L. Benfica. Sporting Clube de Portugal finished the 2004/05 UEFA Cup as runner-up. The following season was a poor one and therefore Peseiro was sacked.
In 2007 he took charge of the Greek club Panathinaikos, but failed to bring them to the league title and the next season Peseiro left the club for Romanian football club FC Rapid Bucureşt.
Since 2009 to 2011 a Portuguese coach headed the Saudi Arabia national team but failed to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was sacked and in 2012 took over as a manager of Braga until 2013.
