Juan Ignacio Martínez (born June 24, 1969) is from Rabasa, Spain. He never managed to play at the professional level. Since 1998 he has been coaching football clubs. He made his coaching debut with Orihuela and a season later he already coached Torrevieja.
In the 2005/2006 season Martínez was in charge of FC Cartagena and helped the team perform in a rather stable way.
The 2006/2007 season was spent at Alcoyano, while in the 2007/2008 season he joined UD Salamanca: the team was in high places with the new coach and eventually finished seventh in La Segunda A. The period was marked with the coach being summoned to court proceedings which resulted in a fine of 66 thousand euros.
In the 2009/2010 season Juan Ignacio returned to FC Cartagena and almost in no time the team was promoted to La Segunda A. The following year the club finished fifth in La Segunda A. The team played 37 matches in La Segunda out of the total 137 matches under his charge.
In the middle of 2011 Juan signed a contract with Levante UD to become head coach for the following season.
After the season 2012/2013 the manager was released from the club. A couple of days later he was appointed a Real Valladolid manager.
