Julio César Falcioni is a football manager from Argentina. As a footballer, he began his professional playing career at Vélez Sársfield in 1976. There he played until 1980 and moved to Colombian side América de Cali, after that he played for Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Colombian team Once Caldas and retired as a footballer in 1991 after a short spell at Vélez Sársfield.
In 1997, Falcioni took over his managerial career with the club he used to play for, Vélez Sársfield. There he worked until 2000 and in 2002 he took charge of Olimpo. After that he coached Banfield, Independiente, Colón de Santa Fe and Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata. For the 2009/10 season he returned to Banfield and brought them to winning the 2009 Apertura in Argentine Primera División. In December 2010, Falcioni left Banfield for Boca Juniors and under his rule they won the 2011 Apertura and the 2011/12 Copa Argentina.
Julio César Falcioni was released in 2012.
