Leonid Kuchuk is a Belarusian professional coach and former defender. He was born on 27 August 1959 in Minsk, Belarus.
Leonid began his managerial career at the Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol in 2004. He made a great impact as a manager leading the club to six consecutive Moldovan top league wins (from 2003 to 2009) and three Moldovan Cup victories. It was to Kuchuk’s immense credit that the side reached the UEFA Champions League play-off round in the 2009/10 season. He also made his mark in the club’s reaching the group stage of the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League.
In 2010, Leonid Kuchuk had a short coaching spell at Salyut Belgorod in Russia. In 2011, he took over reins at Arsenal Kyiv.
At the beginning of 2013 alongside the talks of the club being dissolved Leonid quit and moved to Krasnodar to get at the helm of FC Kuban. He helped the team to make it to the fifth place in the Russian Premier League, the highest ever achievement. Soon after the end of the season Leonid was lured away to Lokomotiv as a successor to Slaven Bilic.
