Marc Robert Wilmots is a Belgian retired football player, who currently coaches the Belgium national team.
He played for such teams as Sint-Truiden, Mechelen, Standard Liège, Schalke 04 and Bordeaux.
Wilmots won 70 caps and scored 29 goals for the Belgium national team.
When he finished his playing career, he took charge of Schalke 04 in 2003, but didn’t stay there long. During the 2004/05 season he headed Sint-Truiden.
Since 2009 he was an assistant coach for Dick Advocaat and then for Georges Leekens, who guided the Belgium national team.
In 2012 he became the head coach of the national team.
