Mihailo Petrović is a football manager from Serbia, currently responsible for Urawa Red Diamonds. He was born in 1957 in Loznica, Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia. A retired footballer, he played for Red Star Belgrade, then joined a Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana, had a season at a Croatian football club GNK Dinamo Zagreb and from 1985 till 1993 he played for an Austrian team Sturm Graz. At his last team he made 239 appearances and scored 6 goals.
Having retired as a player, Mihailo Petrović got his first managerial experience at SV Pöllau, then worked with Sturm Graz Amateur, Primorje Ajdovščina, NK Domžale, Olimpija Ljubljana, Sturm Graz and in 2006 he moved to Japan, taking charge of Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He led them to the final of the Emperor’s Cup in 2007, though the team suffered relegation to J. League Division 2. The following season they returned to the top flight and managed to qualify for the AFC Champions League, having finished the J1 fourth. In November 2011, it was announced the Mihailo Petrović would leave the team and in December he was appointed as the head coach of Urawa Red Diamonds.
