A former Yugoslav footballer and coach from Serbia nowadays, Miroslav Djukic was born on February 19, 1966.
Djukic began his professional career in 1986 with FK Macva Sabac where he played for two seasons after which he joined FK Rad.
In 1990, the footballer from Yugoslavia conquered Spain: Djukic signed a contract with Deportivo La Coruña. Miroslav spent seven years with the Galician club. During that period the Yugoslav won Spanish Cup and Supercup, silver medals (twice) and bronze medals of the national championship with the team. In 1997-2003, Djukic played for Valencia. He once again won bronze medals of the national championship as well as the Spanish Cup and Supercup. Later, he won the Spanish championship and UEFA Intertoto Cup as well as played in the UEFA Champions League Final twice. Miroslav Djukic finished his playing career at CD Tenerife in the 2003/2004 season.
After finishing his career, Djukic completed coaching course in Spain and came back home. In 2006, he was in charge of the Serbia youth team and won silver medals of the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in a year. After a short period with FK Partizan, Miroslav Djukic accepted the offer to take charge of the Serbia national football team. After the 2008 Summer Olympic Games he had to resign.
The Serbian coach worked for some time with R.E. Mouscron and Hércules CF before taking over Real Valladolid in 2011.
In 2013 the specialist guided Valencia for several months.
