Mykola Pavlov is a Ukrainian football coach and former professional defender. He was born on 20 June 1954 in Kiev, Ukraine.
Mykola signed his first professional contract with the Belarusian side Dynamo Brest in 1972. Then he featured for Krylia Sovetov and in 1979 Pavlov signed for the top Belarusian team Dynamo Minsk that competed in the Soviet Top League. In 1982, the player returned to his native country Ukraine and joined Chernomorets Odessa. Pavlov spent two final seasons of his playing career at Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk leading the side to the Soviet Top League champion title in the 1983 season.
Mykola Pavlov took up coaching in 1988. He was in charge of such Ukrainian clubs as Kolos Nikopol, Tavriya Simferopol, Krystal Kherson, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. In 1992 and 1994, he was at the helm of the Ukraine national football team. In 1995, Pavlov led the heavyweights Dynamo Kyiv to the Ukrainian Premier League title. Since 2007 till 2012, he coached Vorskla Poltava. Pavlov graced the club leading them to a sparkling Ukrainian Cup victory in 2009.
In 2012, Mykola Pavlov took over reins at Illychivets Mariupol and coaches the team till the date.
