Paul Le Guen is a French football manager and a retired player. He was born in 1964 and currently he coaches the Oman national team.
His playing career started in Stade Brest, where he spent six years, then he played for Nantes Atlantique, and then he joined Paris St. Germain. There he spent seven years and won 478 caps. In 1996 the team won the Cup Winners’ Cup. He made 17 appearances for the national team.
The first club he took charge of was Rennes, where he worked from 1998 till 2001. The next club he managed till 2005 was Olympique Lyonnais and led them to the UEFA Champions League quarter final.
Paul Le Guen was offered positions in Portugal Benfica, Italian Lazio and Paris Saint-Germain, but he refused.
In the season 2006/07 he headed Rangers and the following two seasons he coached Paris Saint-Germain.
The season 2009/10 he worked as the head coach of the Cameroon national team and in June 2011 Paul Le Guen was appointed the head coach of the Oman national football team.
