Pavel Vrba is a retired football player. Currently he is the manager of FC Viktoria Plzeň. He was born in 1963 in Czechoslovakia, came through the youth ranks of FC Přerov and FC Baník Ostrava. Between 1981 and 1994 he played for Železárny Prostějov, RH Cheb, FC Baník Ostrava, Baník Havířov and FC Přerov. In the latest one he took over his managerial career and then he was an assistant coach of FC Baník Ostrava, where he worked from 1996 to 2004. Then he guided FK Matador Púchov and MŠK Žilina. Pavel Vrba was an assistant manager at the Slovakia national team before the year of 2008 when he became the manager of FC Viktoria Plzeň. He helped them to win the Czech Republic Football Cup in 2009/10 and Gambrinus liga title in 2010/11. In the 2011/12 season Viktoria Plzeň was third. In 2010 and 2011 Pavel Vrba was named the Coach of the Year.
