Peter Østergaard Sørensen is a football manager from Denmark, currently responsible for AGF.
He was born in 1973 in Silkeborg, Denmark, and began his youth playing career at Sejs-Svejbæk IF. In 1991, Peter Sørensen began his senior career at Silkeborg IF and played for them until 1995. During that period he featured in 209 matches and scored 7 goals. Then he moved to FC Groningen, where he spent half a season and then returned to Silkeborg IF but wasn’t regularly use, featuring in not so many matches during three years, before he switched to Malmö FF. From 2003 to 2005 he played for Norwegian club Ham-Kam. He made 63 appearances and scored two goals for the side and then retired. Sørensen represented the national team at U-19 and U-21 levels.
Having retired as a player he became an assistant coach at Ham-Kam, then worked as assistant at Vejle BK. In 2009/10 Sørensen guided FC Fredericia and in 2010 was appointed the manager of AGF.
