Ralph Hasenhüttl is an Austrian coach and former professional striker born on 9 August 1967 in Graz, Austria.
Ralph started out his professional career with the hometown side Grazer AK in 1986. In 1989, he moved to the top-flight FK Austria Wien where he showed good results scoring 44 goals in 134 appearances during a five-year spell at the club. In between 1994 and 1996, Hasenhüttl shone for SV Austria Salzburg.
In the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons, the striker played for Belgian sides KV Mechelen and Lierse SK. In 1998, he joined FC Köln in the German 2. Bundesliga. Since 2000 to 2002, Hasenhüttl played for SpVgg Greuther Fürth and spent the last two seasons of his career at the reserve team of the giant Bayern Munich.
Ralph Hasenhüttl took up coaching as a manager of the German third-division club SpVgg Unterhaching in 2007. In 2011, he took over the coaching reins at VfR Aalen and led the club to the second-place finish in 3. Liga, thus earning them promotion to the 2. Bundesliga – the feat never accomplished by the side before. In the summer 2013 Hasenhüttl left the club and later took charge at Ingolstadt.
