Stephen Martin Lomas is a retired footballer from Northern Ireland. He was born in 1974 in Hanover, Germany.
He began his senior playing career at Manchester City in 1991 and stayed there until his move to West Ham United in 1997. He made his debut in April 1997, that match against Middlesbrough was a goalless draw. Staying with the club until August 2005, Lomas made 227 appearances and scored 13 goals.
He had two seasons at Queens Park Rangers, in 2007 he moved to Gillingham and played for them for half a season. He represented the Northern Ireland national team and making 45 appearances he scored 3 goals.
In March 2009, Steve Lomas took up managerial career at St Neots Town, where he worked until July 2010. He had a successful spell there and then was the manager of West Ham United’s reserves from February till November 2011. After that he took up the manager position at St. Johnstone.
In 2013 Lomas was appointed the new Millwall coach but could not improve the team’s performance and was released in the month of December.
