Tomas Oral is German retired midfielder and current coach of FC Ingolstadt 04 in the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga. He was born on 24 April 1973 in Ochsenfurt, Germany.
Tomas started out his professional career with SG Egelsbach in 1994. Since 1997 till 1999, he played for Viktoria Aschaffenburg and then featured for Germania Horbach in the 1999/2000 season. In 2000, Oral moved to FSV Frankfurt that competed in the fourth tier and played for the team for six years until his retirement in 2006.
In 2003, Oral embarked on his managerial career as a coach of FSV Frankfurt reserve squad still playing for the first team of the side. In 2006, he became the head coach of their professional team and earned promotion for Frankfurt to the third division Regionalliga Süd for the 2007/08 season. Oral’s managerial skills proved to be even more effective when his side broke into the 2. Bundesliga in the 2008/09 season.
In the 2010/11 campaign, Tomas Oral was at the helm of RB Leipzig. In 2011, he took over the coaching reins at FC Ingolstadt 04 and manages the team till today.
