Anthony Richard Pulis, commonly known as Tony Pulis, was born on 16 January 1958 in Newport, Wales. He is a former footballer and manager.
At the age of 19, Pulis got the FA coaching qualification of England. Anthony obtained the UEFA A licence when he was 21.
Tony took first steps as a manager in Bournemouth, where he finished his playing career, and became an assistant manager to Harry Redknapp. Not long after, Pulis was appointed head coach of the club.
In 2007/2008, Pulis led Stoke City to the Premier League. In 2011, his team made their way through to the FA Cup finals.
After seven years in charge of the Potters Tony Pulis left the club in 2013.
In November 2013 Pulis replaced Ian Holloway at the helm of struggling Crystal Palace.
