Andorra national team represents this minute state in the Southwestern Europe on the international football arena. The team got affiliation to UEFA in 1994 and became a member of FIFA in 1996. It is superintended by the Andorran Football Federation.
The fourth smallest UEFA country, Andorran team have to compete with prominent European sides and thus they’ve met with little success throughout their history. They recorded their first victory in a 2006 World Cup qualifier against Macedonia. Apart from that win, Andorra managed only two other wins over Albania and Belarus. A football dwarf, the Andorran team have never qualified for the World Cup or European Chamionship.
Andorra national team is captained by Óscar Sonejee. He is called up to the team since 1997 and is currently the most capped player for Andorra with 90 appearances (as of February 2013). His teammate Ildefons Lima is Andorran ever top scorer with 7 goals in 71 matches since 1997.
Andorra national team play their home matches at Estadi Comunal d'Andorra la Vella which can hold up to 1,250 spectators.
