History and achievements
The Estonia national football team is controlled by Estonian Football Association and is guided by Tarmo Ruutli. The team hasn’t reached the finals in the World Cup and European championship until today but nevertheless Estonia participates in the Baltic Cup on a regular base.
The team made its debut playing with Finland in 1920 and lost 0-6. In three years the team scored their most impressive victory when defeated Lithuania 6-0 and in five years Estonia showed exactly the same result one more time.
Raio Piiroja is the team’s captain. The team trains and plays home games on A. Le Coq Arena. Estonia has the 56th position in the FIFA World Rankings.
The team’s kit for home games consists of white socks, a blue shirt and black shorts. While playing away games the team wears blue socks, white skirts and black shorts. Before 1996 the squad hadn’t worn black color, but blue and white.
