The Vanuatu national football team had the name of the New Hebrides national football team when the Republic of Vanuatu had the name of New Hebrides until 1980.
The New Hebrides national team made their international debut in 1951, that was a 0-9 loss at New Zealand. Their best result in the OFC Nations Cup was in 1973 when the team finished fourth and the same result was in 2000, 2002 and 2008. In South Pacific Games New Hebrides finished runner-up in 1971 and under the name of Vanuatu the team was third in 2003 and 2007.
Vanuatu's home stadium is a 6,500 Korman Stadium.
