1860 Munich asks Eriksson to help

The 64-year-old Swede will be a part of the coaching staff of the German side

The board chairman Otto Steiner stated that 1860 Munich reached an agreement with Sven-Goran Eriksson who is expected to join the coaching team in a week. The exact role of the coach is yet to be defined while the current manager of the club Alexander Schmidt will remain at his post.

Eriksson headed such team as Manchester City, AS Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio and Benfica, recently working as technical director of Thai club BEC Tero Sasana. The tactician also coached the national team of England from 2001 to 2006.
