5 matches to watch this weekend

Chelsea - Manchester United

Chelsea brilliant start of the season saw a tough challenge in Donetsk in the Champions League. After losing the game, the capital club left some questions to be answered and the clash with United will be one of the most significant tests for the side before winter break. Chelsea remains undefeated by Sir Alex Ferguson team in their last 10 matches at Stamford Bridge.

Everton - Liverpool

One of the weekend games that does not require introduction is the Merseyside derby. Everton look like favorites despite winning only one of the last 11 encounters with Liverpool. Everton scored 15 goals in the eight games - the best result of the team in the Premier League. Yet the Reds have finally embarked on a successful run winning Reading and Anzhi Makhachkala and the clash with their major rival is a real challenge for Brendan Rodgers.

Borussia Dortmund - SC Freiburg

After the incredible victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League Jürgen Klopp now should convince the fans that his club can improve in the Bundesliga. The Yellow-Blacks were beaten by Schalke 04 in the previous tour and now fell twelve points behind FC Bayern. Freiburg triumphed over Wolfsburg on Matchday 8 and now the side is only 1 point behind the current champions.

Barcelona - Rayo Vallecano

The Catalan club has serious problems in the defense line with Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique sidelined with injuries and Javier Mascherano being suspended in the last game against Deportivo. Barcelona also conceded first seven times in their last 13 matches and the game in the Champions League against Celtic was not an exception though they managed to pull off a win at a very last moment. Tito Vialnova clearly should make some changes on Saturday game.

Montpellier - Nice

The current champions of the League 1 are hosting Nice and after a poor start of the season desperately need a win. The team occupies the 16th place in the standings with only eight points. Montpellier manager Rene Girard blamed his defense line for poor results, snapping: “”A defender must understand he is here to defend”. We shall see if this valuable tip can help.
