Allegri is a footstep away from dismissal

Allegri is a footstep away from dismissal

Massimiliano Allegri is out of favour at Milan after a 0-1 derby loss to Inter on Sunday. Milan supremo is under risk to get the boot in case of defeat to Lazio on October 20.

The club management reportedly will appoint Mauro Tassotti as a caretaker for the reminder of the season. Pep Guardiola and Luciano Spalletti are seen as possible tacticians to take charge of the team next season.

Milan made a poor start in Serie A losing 0-1 to Atalanta and 1-2 to Udinese and ending in a draw with Parma which is not a good showing for a club of their calibre. The club is currently the 11th with only 7 points in the league table lagging behind low Catania and Torino. Still, it seems to be unjust to lay all the blame on Allegri as Milan has sold their top-flight players such as Zlatan Ibrahimović and Thiago Silva to PSG this summer and other club legends retired from professional football.
