Ancelotti: "Beckham can help the team"

Paris St Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti welcomed the arrival of the English veteran to the French side.

The Italian tactician claimed he was pleased with the signing and stated he already worked with the 37-year-old star in AC Milan, describing that collaboration as “an exceptional experience.”

“I know David Beckham quite well. Everybody talks about his image, but I want to emphasize his professional qualities,” said the manager of the Parisian team.

Ancelotti compared Beckham with legendary Milan defender Paolo Maldini and assured that Beckham’s experience and professionalism will add to the side something new.

“David must train as he has returned from vacation, but he can play every position on the pitch- defensive, with his passing ability, or on the right even if he does not have the speed of Lucas, ” he added.

Beckham signed a five-month deal with PSG at the end of winter transfer window previously playing for MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.
