Ancelotti: "The competition was the problem for Nene"

The Italian coach says former PSG striker Nene was not so good as to Ibra and Lavezzi.

Nene became the Ligue 1 top scorer last season with the Parisian side, yet in January the player left the team as a result of a disagreement with the head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian tactician though told the press lately that the striker left the side for other reasons.”The main problem with Nene was the same as with Sakho: the competition, “claimed Ancelotti.

Making comments on the confrontation with the forward that happened during the Champions League fixture against Porto, Ancelotti stated: “He did something during the game against Porto. He was not very happy going into this match. “

“Some players manage better than others. Nene wanted to play a lot, but sometimes you can play and other times you are on the beach, ” underlined the manager of the French side.

Nene signed for the Qatari side Al Gharafa during winter transfer window after he made only nine outings in League 1 this season.
