Andrey Arshavin goes on wearing the captain's armband

According to Life Sports Fabio Capello met with Andrey Arshavin in Germany where the 31-year old forward stays with Arsenal on training session.

In spite of the wave of criticism from Russian fans after Arshavin’s poor Euro 2012 performance, when Russia failed to make it out of the group, Fabio Capello keeps him as a captain.

Capello said that he counts upon Arshavin and expects him to recapture good competition form. Andrey Arshavin has been wearing the captain’s armband since 2009 and it wouldn’t be given to anyone else.
