Anita moves to Newcastle

Vurnon Anita from Ajax penned a five-year deal with Newcastle.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew was delighted after the deal was confirmed, stating: ‘Anita is an exceptionally gifted footballer with great technical ability. The coach also underlined the fact the player graduated from Ajax youth academy and would show bright performance.

Pardew was sure Anita is ready for the season and ‘he’s up to speed and ready to play when I need him.’

The player himself claimed that he already discussed with the coach his position on the field, stating he wanted to play as a defensive midfielder and the manager agreed.
