Anzhi Samba on the verge of joining QPR

Anzhi Samba on the verge of joining QPR

Daily Mail reports that Anzhi centre-back Christopher Samba flew to London to undergo his medical and agree personal terms after the Queens Park Rangers have triggered his £12.5million release clause.

Russian moneybags Anzhi Makhachkala have signed Samba from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee in 2012. The Congolese has made 27 appearances for Anzhi scoring 3 goals.

Samba’s family is currently living in London and the player was keen to return. The defender was involved in several racism incidents in Russia, which could be one of the likely reasons for his departure. Anzhi boss Guus Hiddink revealed the player did not even say goodbye to his teammates.
