Arsenal Koscielny wants to stay at the club despite interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich

Arsenal have been given a huge boost with the news their defender Laurent Koscielny will remain at the club, despite the speculation linking with a move to European powerhouses Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Earlier this week Koscielny’s agent Stephane Courbois admitted there is interest from several clubs and the player, who has four years left on his current deal, is seriously considering the possibility of leaving the Emirates stadium. He said: “There is interest. I know that Laurent is part of a shortlist of three or four players for both clubs.”

Koscielny himself revealed he is disappointed with Gunners’ underperformance in previous seasons and could be leaving the club, should Arsenal fail to show ambition.

However Koscielny told Gunners’ hierarchy during the private meeting he is happy to stay at London and is fully committed to fulfilling his duties at Emirates stadium.
