Arsenal set to launch bid for Real Madrid Higuain within few days
Arsenal boss Arsene Wegner is looking to launch a bid for long-term target Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain within few days.
Wenger feels he needs to expand his attacking options, after they have only narrowly lived up their last season’s expectations of reaching the Champions League qualification. The Frenchman is increasingly confident he can finally sign the player, who has been topping his wish list for two years, after Real Madrid turned down Juventus’ £18 million offer.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez revealed he wants at least £25.5 million for the 25-year-old Argentinian and Arsenal with £70 million war chest at their disposal can easily meet La Liga giants’ demands. Higuain is earning £130,000-a-week at the Santiago Bernabeu and he will demand Arsenal to match this figure.
Higuain has spent a decent last season with Real Madrid, scoring 19 goals and setting up another 11 in 46 outings in all competitions.
