Barca faces Real in Copa del Rey semis

Barcelona eased past Malaga to the next round of the tournament

The first match ended in a 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp, but in the away fixture the Catalan side produced superb display winning 4-2.

Barca scored first courtesy of Gerard Pique shot early in the second half. Malaga pushed one back on 69 minutes by Roque Santa Cruz, yet Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi scored ten minutes before time giving the team a comfortable lead.

Gerard Pique said after the match the squad realized they needed victory, adding “The result is fair, even though they played a great game. Now we have the luxury of playing a semifinal against Real Madrid.”
