Barca to pen a new contract with Adriano

The Brazilian defender is close to extending his deal with the side.

The Catalan side is in talks with the defender Adriano over a renewal of his agreement with the team. The player whose current contract runs until 2014 will reportedly put pen to paper the following week.

Adriano’s agent Paulo Affonso confirmed that the sides are negotiating the deal, stating: “We are very close to reaching an agreement, although we’re not there yet. We’re making a big effort. Barça wants to renew Adriano and Adriano wants to be renewed.”
