Barcelona 3-2 Real Madrid

La Liga champions Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.

Spanish Cup holders Barcelona seemed to dominate the ball within the first half, though it was Cristiano Ronaldo who broke the deadlock on 55th minute and gave his team the lead. Pedro immediately cancelled out the Whites’ goal, scoring an equalizer in two minutes after Ronaldo.

Sergio Ramos brought down Iniesta on 69th minute, a penalty to Barcelona followed and Messi put past Casillas.

Xavi made it 3-1 for Barcelona on 77th minute and Jose Mourinho’s side completed the tie with Di Maria striking five minutes from time.

All five goal were scored in the second half, it was really stirring. The current title holders secured victory in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup and the teams will meet in six days for the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu.
