Barcelona eye De Gea move

According to Daily Mail Barcelona are seriously considering the possibility of signing 22-year-old Man Utd goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Spaniard has been struggling to justify his hefty transfer fee since joining from Atlético Madrid in 2011. Currently he faces stiff competition for the first-team place with the second Man Utd keeper Anders Lindegaard.

Recent speculations have linked De Gea with a move away from the Old Trafford with Sir Alex Ferguson apparently being dissatisfied with his lack of physique which is crucially important for winning the aerial challenges.

Barcelona are looking a long-term replacement for their veteran keeper Victor Valdes and De Gea is on the top of their shopping list, featuring the names of Stekelenburg, Leno, Guaita.
