BATE Borisov training session in the centre of Minsk

BATE Borisov training session in the centre of Minsk

FootballTop.com got the evidence of BATE Borisov training on the pavement in the centre of Minsk, Belarus.

Two days prior to their clash in the Champions League against favourites Bayern Munich the belarusian champions stunned their fans by appearing on one of the main squares of the capital city for a ‘street-ball’ performance. It did catch people by surprise as few could believe their eyes enjoying the team number one in the country right in downtown.

Naturally, most of the first team players were missing plotting the tactics against the German giants but still that was impressive. The journalists were left wondering whether it was just marketing aiming at increasing attendance during the Tuesday clash or a new Belarusian sophisticated way of getting ready for tough matches.

Ironically, it looked liked BATE’s campaign had not been approved by city authorities as an agressive-looking woman holding sort of a bat was the one to interfere and stop the performance. Anyway, BATE opponents in the Champions League group stage should be aware.
