Beckham hopes PSG beat Barcelona despite a 2-2 draw at home

Paris Saint-Germain star man David Beckham keeps his hopes up the French side progresses to the next Champions League stage after holding Barcelona to a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes.

Barca scored the opener through Messi’s beautiful volley, while Ibrahimobic cancelled their advantage in the 79th minute. Xavi restored Braca lead after converting the penalty in the 89th minute. Blaise Matuidi has scored an equalizer deep into an injury time to help PSG save their blushes and retain slim hopes of reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

Becks believes PSG deserved the draw and they can make it through to the next stage of the tournament: “In the first half, especially in the first 10 minutes, we had a few very good chances and if we’d have put one of those away it might have been different. Then obviously they got their goal, then it was an uphill battle, but I think we deserved the draw. It’s better than it was at 2-1. We go there, it’s going to be difficult but there’s no reason we can’t go there and get a result.”
