Bendtner is ruled out of the national team

Danish international is suspended from the national side till September.

Juventus forward Nicklas Bendtner was arrested in Copenhagen on Sunday driving under influence. The player was reportedly moving the wrong way up a main road and refused to pass a breath test when stopped by the road policy.

Following the incident the national football federation of Denmark decided to suspend the forward for the next six months.

The player confirmed the information about his arrest. “It was a quiet night, but I am very very sorry to all my friends and fans. It is not ok to drink and drive. I take full responsibility,” wrote Bendtner on his Tweeter.
