Bendtner is set to leave Arsenal in two weeks

Out-of-favour Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner is looking forward to leaving the club in the near future, amid the interest from host of European clubs.

The 25-year-old Dutchman was deemed a surplus to requirements by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. As a result he has not made a first-team appearance for the Gunners this season and was loaned out to Sunderland and Juventus.

Bendtner admitted Arsenal agreed to part ways on mutual consent and he is now looking for a new club. Bendtner said: “I am talking with five or six clubs at the moment over a permanent transfer. Things are agreed with Arsenal and I will decide which club I sign for in the next two weeks.”

Despite scoring 43 goals in 157 first-team appearances, Bendtner failed to establish himself as a regular first-team player at the Emirates stadium. According to recent reports, several clubs from France, Holland, Portugal and Germany are sniffing around, but Besiktas are touted as preferred option for the Dutchman.
