Bernd Schuster set to replace Pellegrini at Malaga
Malaga confirmed they are looking to replace their departing boss Manuel Pellegrini with former Besiktas manager Bernd Schuster.
City are yet to formally unveil the 59-year-old Chilean as their new head coach, but it looks like the deal is almost completed, as Malaga are planning life without Pellegrini.
A spokesman for Malaga revealed Schuster will be immediately appointed on the day Pellegrini edged closer to his switch to the Etihad stadium.
The Citizens decided to abstain from official announcement that Pellegrini takes charge in July because of Malaga’s problems with unpaid wages and compensation. However these issues will be resolved in the near future.
The German has been unemployed since 2011, after spells with Xerez, Levante and Getafe and Besiktas. Schuster put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
