Blackburn fire Appleton

Michael Appleton has been sacked by Blackburn owners after the Rovers drew the clash with local rivals Burnley and were eliminated by Millwall from FA Cup.

Appleton, team’s third manager in 2012-2013 season, has been in charge of Blackburn just two months since leaving Blackpool. He has won four, drew five and lost six out of his 15 games in charge of the Rovers.

Blackburn are currently lying in the 18th place of the Championship table, just four points above the relegation zone.
