Borussia Lewandowski could still join Man Utd

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski could still make a switch to the Old Trafford, despite the rumours that he has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern Munich.

Man Utd have arguably the strongest attacking line-up in the world with super-sub Hernandez, pacey Welbeck, prolific Van Persie and Rooney, being able to remain an asset for Manchester United for another decade. And yet Sir Alex Ferguson wants to bolster his attacking options with another striker.

Robert Lewandowski has repeatedly been linked with a move to Manchester United, however Fergie was reluctant to overpay for the player. However, with Lewandowski’s contract due to expire in 2014, it turned out the perspective of landing the player becomes more realistic this summer. Lewandowski’s agent Kucharski said: “Many clubs are interested in the player, in particular Manchester United. Bayern Munich? I know something, but no further details.”
