Carrizo relishes Inter opportunity

The Nerazzurri purchased the keeper Juan Pablo Carrizo from Lazio last month for €250,000 and the newcomer says he is ready to start at a new team.

Former Catania and River Plate goalkeeper told the Italian press that he was proud to move to Milan, stating: “I’m here to give my all and to help my teammates,”

The player underlined he has a very special relations with the team. “I’ve already heard from Rodrigo Palacio and Javier Zanetti who congratulated me. It’s a very special moment for me,” explained Carrizo.

The South American was acquired as a second-choice goalkeeper after Luca Castellazzi recently undergone a shoulder surgery. The Argentine claims that becoming a back-up to Samir Handanovic is amazing for him, insisting: “It’ll be great to train and work alongside Handanovic. He is an excellent goalkeeper.”

Juan Pablo Carrizo is expected to start training with the team on Thursday.
