Cech wants Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge

Cech wants Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea goalie Petr Cech revealed he would like his former manager Jose Mourinho to return to west London, amid the controversial rule of interim boss Rafa Benitez.

Benitez, who replaced popular Roberto Di Matteo in charge of the Blues, failed to win respect and love of fans and is widely expected to leave the club in summer. Mourinho is considered his most likely replacement with fans keen on return of the manager, who has claimed two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups during his spell at the Stamford Bridge.

Cech has also welcomed the perspective of Mourinho taking over Chelsea, claiming: “We had fantastic success with him, so why not? He is a fantastic manager. Of course the fans sing his name. Jose Mourinho did a fantastic job for the club and people loved him, so he rightly deserved that. This is the way it should be, the fans should pay their respect for the players and ex-players who come here to the Bridge.”
