Champions League preview: can the Bhoys disturb the Old Lady?

Champions League preview: can the Bhoys disturb the Old Lady?

Juventus is facing the most unpredictable opponent in the Champions League.

Celtic is considered a dark horse in the Champions League campaign. One of the biggest advantages of the British team is the impressive support of the Celtic Park that put additional pressure on every side. The sound that is falling from the stands makes the players tremble as almost 60,000 fans pour the passion onto the pitch. The terrifying noise definitely helped the side to defeat Barca in group stage, yet putting the romantic words aside, Celtic is a clear underdog in today’s battle with all odds stacked against the Scotts. The Italian giants cannot simply afford to stumble on the British side.

The Old Lady is on the course of winning their second consecutive Serie A title, staying unbeaten in the domestic championship for the whole season. Juve run in the major European tournament was even more impressive as the Turin club topped the group without losing to the running Champions League winners Chelsea and the Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Italian side claimed two victories in two recent matches in Serie A and with Alessandro Matri. Quagliarelli, Giovinco all gaining their top form Juve is more that formidable force.

The Hoops utilizes pragmatic approach on the pitch relying on counterattacks and set pieces, but Juve is likely to control the possession especially with Pirlo’excellence in central midfield.

It is easy to underestimate Neil Lennon’s side yet again probably repeating Barca mistake, but it is clear the Scottish side should make wonders if they want to stun football world again.
