Champions League results: Bayern and Dortmund are through to the final!
Although second legs of the two semi-finals featuring two German and Spanish sides hardly resembled each other, the result is the same: La Liga giants failed to bounce back from their respective first-leg defeats and were eliminated by highly organized and disciplined Bundesliga teams.

However the German side managed to pull themselves together and withstand the heavy Real Madrid’s pressure of in the dying stages of the game. The Spaniards did not manage to get a much-needed third goal and Borussia made it through to the Champions League final for the first time since 1997.
Bayern Munich almost killed the tie in the first leg, as they demolished Barcelona 4-0 at Allianz Arena. However they clearly were not going to drop speed in the second leg and produced an inspired counterattacking display to see off the challenge of struggling Barcelona who were without their star Messi. Robben buried Barca’s slim hopes of overturning four-goal deficit with an excellent curling shot three minutes into the second half. Pique sent the ball past his own keeper in the 72nd minute, while Mueller rounded off Bayern’s victory with a close-range header four minutes later. All in all Bayern Munich were cleared and deserved winner at Camp Nou, hammering Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate.
