Chelsea to make an approach for Borussia Klopp

Sky Italia reports that Borussia Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp could become the next Blues manager.

Chelsea have turned their attention to the 45-year-old German after the news that their prime target Pep Guardiola preferred to take charge of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Current Blues coach Rafa Benitez is set to leave the club at the end of the season as owner Roman Abramovich is unlikely to sign him on permanent contract due to the string of poor results. At the moment Chelsea find themselves in the third spot of Premier League table 13 points behind the leaders Man Utd and six points behind second-placed Man City. Chelsea were eliminated from Champions League after finishing third in the group stage and becoming the first ever title holders to not reach the last 16.
