Chelsea to pay £30 million for Corinthians Guerrero

The Daily Star states that Chelsea have made a formal inquiry as regards the transfer fee of Corinthians forward Paolo Guerrero and the Brazilian side said they will allow their star leave for anything less than £30 million.

This story seems to be a piece of nonsense taking into account that Guerrero has joined Corinthians for only £3 million six months ago. However his transfer fee has skyrocketed after the series of excellent performances in the Brazilian Serie A and the heroics against Chelsea in FIFA Club World Cup final.

Juventus, Fiorentina and Atlético Madrid are also said to be interested in securing the services of the Peru international.
