Chelsea team news: Čech and David Luiz set to miss Reading clash

Sky Sports informs that two key Chelsea players are set to miss the forthcoming Premier League clash against Reading due to the injuries.

The duo has been sidelined for Chelsea’s 2-2 FA Cup fourth round draw with Brentford. Čech has not fully recovered from a calf injury which means Ross Turnbull replaces him between the sticks at the Madejski Stadium.

David Luiz has also suffered a calf injury and probably recovers in a week. John Terry who has returned into the first XI against Brentford following the long-term absence is expected to start in the position of the centre-back. Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez said: “Petr Cech is not available. David Luiz is injured. When they’re back, we’ll be stronger and we’ll be fighting for a place in the top four”.
