Chevrolet completes a sponsorship deal with United

Manchester United commercial director Richard Arnold announced signing of a seven-year sponsor contract with Chevrolet.

The name of the company will appear on the red shirts starting from the season 2014/2015, the price for such partnership for Chevrolet was undisclosed. United representatives said they were extremely satisfied with the deal, explaining that: ‘It is a wonderful thing for the team when a current partner steps up to being one of the principal partners. This strong commitment to United and its fans will bring huge benefits to both sides.’

Alan Batey, General Motors’ North America vice-president claimed the company was very proud to be associated with Manchester United, connecting with the club and its supporters worldwide. He stated that partnership with the English club was a perfect fit, considering the values and the rich 100-year history of the auto giant.

Batey added that ‘Manchester United’s statistics are unimaginable, but certainly this relationship is not just numbers - it is connecting our brand with the amazing emotions that surround the team everywhere it goes.’

Chevrolet will become only the fifth brand to be put on United’s jersey.
